The Avago AFBR-709SMZ-ST1 is a high-speed, short-reach (SR) Small Form-Factor Pluggable Plus (SFP+) optical transceiver module designed for 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) and 10G Fibre Channel applications. It utilizes 850nm Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser (VCSEL) technology to deliver high-bandwidth data transmission over multimode fiber (MMF). The module supports link distances of up to 300 meters on OM3-grade fiber and up to 400 meters on OM4 fiber, making it an ideal solution for high-density top-of-rack and end-of-row switching architectures in modern data centers.The device is fully compliant with the SFP+ Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and the IEEE 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR standard. It operates on a single 3.3V power supply and features a duplex LC optical interface.
