The ADVA SFP/4GU/C1530V is a coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) small form-factor pluggable (SFP) optical transceiver module engineered for metropolitan and regional optical transport networks. Operating at a precise wavelength of 1530 nm within the ITU-T G.694.2 CWDM grid, the module supports data rates up to 2.5 Gbit/s, making it suitable for Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and SONET/SDH applications over dedicated wavelength channels. The transceiver features a duplex LC connector interface and is designed for single-mode fiber deployments with transmission distances typically reaching up to 80 km depending on link budget and fiber characteristics. It incorporates advanced distributed feedback (DFB) laser technology with integrated temperature control and wavelength stabilization to maintain channel accuracy across varying environmental conditions. The module complies with SFF-8472 digital diagnostic monitoring standards, providing real-time access to operational parameters including temperature, laser bias current, transmitted and received optical power, and supply voltage. Hot-pluggable design enables non-disruptive field replacement in ADVA optical transport platforms and compatible third-party CWDM systems. The unit operates within an extended industrial temperature range and is optimized for low power consumption in high-density optical add-drop multiplexer configurations. Management and provisioning are performed via a two-wire serial interface (I2C), ensuring seamless integration with network management and performance monitoring systems. This transceiver requires pairing with corresponding CWDM multiplexers/demultiplexers and is suitable for point-to-point links, ring topologies, and wavelength-specific transport applications in metro core and aggregation networks.
