The ZTE RS-59EC-8GE-SFP is a high-performance optical interface expansion module specifically engineered for the ZXR10 5900E series of enterprise and carrier-grade managed switches. This module provides eight independent SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) slots, supporting 1000Base-X Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. It is designed to offer maximum flexibility in network architecture, allowing for long-distance fiber uplinks or high-speed inter-switch stacking using a variety of optical transceivers (Single-mode, Multi-mode) or BiDi modules depending on the transmission requirements.The RS-59EC-8GE-SFP performs essential Layer 2 and Layer 3 data processing functions, including wire-speed packet forwarding, hardware-based VLAN tagging (IEEE 802.1Q), and Link Aggregation (IEEE 802.3ad).
