The ZTE MPBA0 is a high-performance Main Processing Board designed for carrier-grade telecommunication platforms, including the ZXUR 9000 Radio Network Controller (RNC) and ZXUN xGW packet core systems. Built on the Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture (ATCA), this module serves as a primary control and processing unit for the system. It is engineered to handle complex radio resource management (RRM), mobility management, and call control functions within 2G, 3G, and converged network environments. The MPBA0 board performs critical system-level tasks, including the processing of signaling protocols, management of subscriber sessions, and coordination of radio network resources. It incorporates high-speed multicore processors and expanded memory capacity to ensure stable performance during peak signaling loads. The module facilitates the integration of various network interfaces and works in tandem with switching boards (BSWA/FSWA) to ensure seamless data flow and internal system communication.
Designed for maximum reliability, the MPBA0 supports 1+1 hardware redundancy, allowing for automatic failover to a standby unit in the event of a critical failure. The front panel features a standardized set of LED indicators (RUN, ALM, ACT) for real-time monitoring of the board's operational status and health. As a mission-critical component, it supports hot-swappable installation, enabling maintenance or system upgrades without disrupting the overall operation of the subrack. The board complies with international NEBS and ETSI standards for thermal efficiency, electromagnetic compatibility, and long-term durability in data center environments.
