Descripción
The ZTE RSB13 is a high-performance Control and Switch Board designed for integration into carrier-grade multi-service access nodes, such as the ZXA10 series. This module serves as the central intelligence and switching fabric of the subrack, combining system-level management, control plane processing, and high-speed data switching into a single ATCA-compliant unit. It is engineered to coordinate the operation of all installed line cards and service modules, providing non-blocking traffic aggregation and a centralized path for upstream connectivity. The RSB13 executes critical network functions, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 packet forwarding, VLAN management (IEEE 802.1Q), and sophisticated Quality of Service (QoS) scheduling to ensure the prioritization of voice, video, and mission-critical data. It incorporates advanced multicore processors and expanded memory capacity to handle complex signaling protocols, subscriber authentication, and real-time resource allocation. The board also functions as the system's synchronization master, distributing high-precision clock signals across the backplane to ensure timing consistency for all peripheral interface modules.
Designed for high availability, the RSB13 supports 1+1 hardware redundancy, allowing for seamless master/slave failover without service interruption. The front panel features dedicated management ports (RJ-45/SFP) for local and remote administration via CLI or SNMP-based Network Management Systems (NMS). It includes a standardized set of LED indicators (RUN, ALM, MST) for real-time diagnostics of the board's health and operational role. As a core system component, it supports hot-swappable installation, enabling maintenance or firmware upgrades without powering down the entire chassis. The module complies with international ETSI and NEBS standards for thermal efficiency and electromagnetic compatibility.
