The ZTE SWI2 is a high-capacity Switch Interface Board designed for carrier-grade telecommunication platforms, including the ZXA10 C300/C320 and ZXUN series. This module serves as a dual-function unit, integrating a high-speed switching fabric with physical uplink interfaces. Built on the Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture (ATCA), the SWI2 is engineered to facilitate non-blocking data exchange between the system's backplane and the external transport network, ensuring high-throughput connectivity for broadband access and core network services.The SWI2 board executes essential Layer 2 and Layer 3 functions, including wire-speed packet forwarding, VLAN aggregation (IEEE 802.1Q), and sophisticated Quality of Service (QoS) scheduling. It typically features multiple high-speed optical ports (SFP/SFP+) supporting 1GbE and 10GbE rates, providing flexible options for network cascading and upstream connectivity.
