The HG Genuine MXPD-033S-F is a hot-pluggable SFP optical transceiver module designed for 155 Mbps data transmission over single-mode fiber. It operates at a nominal wavelength of 1310 nm using a Fabry-Perot (FP) laser transmitter and a PIN photodiode receiver. The module supports reliable transmission distances up to 15 km and complies with the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), SFF-8472 digital diagnostic specifications, and ITU-T G.957 S-1.1 application code for STM-1/OC-3 interfaces.This transceiver is optimized for the 155.52 Mbps STM-1/OC-3 line rate with NRZ encoding and is also suitable for other 100–155 Mbps applications. It features duplex LC optical connectors and is intended for use with ITU-T G.652 single-mode fiber (SMF). The electrical interface consists of a 20-pin SFP connector with differential CML signals. Digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM) functions are implemented with external calibration via the two-wire I2C serial interface. This enables real-time monitoring and reporting of critical operating parameters including transmitted optical power, received optical power, laser bias current, supply voltage, and module temperature. Programmable warning and alarm thresholds support proactive fault detection and performance management. The transceiver is compatible with Huawei and other SFP-enabled platforms supporting 155 Mbps interfaces, including SDH/SONET multiplexers, optical transmission equipment, routers, and switches used in access networks, FTTx deployments, and metro applications. It is particularly suited for STM-1/OC-3 point-to-point links requiring 15 km single-mode fiber reach.
Installation is simplified by the hot-pluggable SFP form factor, allowing insertion or removal without powering down the host equipment. The module supports commercial operating temperatures from 0°C to +70°C and requires minimal airflow for thermal management.
