ZTE WXTRPGEAS1 SFP Transceiver

The ZTE WXTRPGEAS1 is a hot-pluggable SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) optical transceiver module designed for Gigabit Ethernet applications in ZTE optical transmission and access platforms. It provides a bidirectional optical interface operating at a nominal data rate of 1.25 Gbit/s (1000BASE-LX compatible).This module operates at a nominal wavelength of 1310 nm using a Fabry-Perot (FP) laser transmitter and a PIN photodiode receiver. It is optimized for single-mode fiber (SMF 9/125 µm) with a typical transmission distance of up to 10 km. The optical link budget supports reliable performance with low bit error rates (better than 10⁻¹²) under standard fiber attenuation conditions. Transmitter average output power is typically in the range of -9 dBm to -3 dBm, while receiver sensitivity ensures sufficient margin for 10 km links.

The WXTRPGEAS1 complies with the SFP MSA (INF-8074i) and IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-LX standards. It handles serialized Gigabit Ethernet data streams with low jitter generation and high extinction ratio. Digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM/DOM) functions compliant with SFF-8472 allow real-time reporting of transmitted and received optical power, laser bias current, temperature, and supply voltage via the I²C interface for performance monitoring and fault isolation.

Optical connectivity is realized through a duplex LC connector. Key operational features include Loss of Signal (LOS) detection and assertion, automatic laser shutdown (ALS) for Class 1 eye safety compliance, and hot-swap support. The module uses the standard 20-pin SFP electrical interface with a single +3.3 V power supply and low power consumption (typically below 1 W), making it suitable for high-density port configurations in ZTE switches, routers, and multiservice access platforms such as C300/C320 series.

Environmental specifications meet carrier-class requirements with a commercial operating temperature range of 0°C to +70°C, high humidity tolerance, and built-in ESD protection. This SFP transceiver is primarily used for point-to-point Gigabit Ethernet links in metro access networks, enterprise backbones, or as uplink/tributary interfaces in ZTE equipment.

The module integrates seamlessly with ZTE network management systems for remote monitoring. Installation requires standard fiber optic cleaning procedures, correct Tx/Rx fiber polarity, and adherence to minimum bend radius guidelines for duplex LC patch cords.
