Descripción
The Alcatel-Lucent 3AL81185AAAC 01 ATM4X4V2 is a switching interface board engineered for Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) service aggregation and switching in SDH/SONET and optical transport network platforms. This module provides four independent ATM interfaces with 4-port switching matrix capabilities for aggregating and transporting ATM-based services including legacy voice, data, and video traffic over synchronous optical network infrastructure. The ATM4X4V2 card supports multiple ATM physical layer interfaces including STM-1/OC-3, STM-4/OC-12, and E3/T3 with configurable port assignments and traffic engineering optimized for metro access and aggregation applications. The board implements comprehensive ATM adaptation layer (AAL) processing including AAL1, AAL2, and AAL5 per ITU-T I.361, I.363, and I.366 specifications with support for constant bit rate (CBR), variable bit rate (VBR), available bit rate (ABR), and unspecified bit rate (UBR) service categories. Advanced features include ATM traffic management with congestion control, available bit rate (ABR) flow control, traffic shaping and policing per ATM Forum specifications, quality of service (QoS) enforcement with cell priority marking, and comprehensive OAM (Operation, Administration, and Maintenance) capabilities including F4/F5 OAM cells for performance monitoring and fault detection. The module supports ATM permanent virtual circuit (PVC) and switched virtual circuit (SVC) switching with up to 4096 simultaneous VPI/VCI connections, cell relay functionality, and ATM over SDH/SONET encapsulation per ITU-T I.432 and G.707 specifications. Integration with the transport shelf backplane provides connectivity to cross-connect matrices for flexible traffic grooming and bandwidth management across the transport network. Management interfaces include TL1, SNMP v3, and proprietary element management system protocols for integration with Alcatel-Lucent's 1350 OMS. Power is supplied via −48 V DC backplane distribution with hot-swappable design. Environmental specifications comply with ETSI EN 300 019 Class 3.1 and NEBS GR-63 Level 3 standards, supporting operation from 0 °C to +45 °C.
